Theme: One Common Faith
(Participants are urged to obtain a copy of One Common Faith and to be familiar with it before the school, particularly from page 49 on)

The goal of the school is to help the participants understand the Five Year Plan and to create a plan for their part in support of it.

Special Guests:

  • Author/professor Dr. John Hatcher will speak on the school theme, One Common Faith
  • Santosh Kamath, Auxiliary Board Member, will speak on the Covenant
  • Dr. Susan Maneck will speak on Islam

Royal Falcon Bahá’í Fall School

Nov. 5-7, 2004 (Fri.-Sun.) was CANCELED due to damage from Hurricane Ivan to the Beachside Resort and Conference Center in Pensacola Beach, Florida.

Royal Falcon Bahá’í Winter School

Feb. 6-8, 2004 (Fri.-Sun.)

Location: Beachside Resort and Conference Center at Pensacola Beach
Theme: Lighting the Way: Blazoning the Name of Bahá’u’lláh

Speakers:
Dr. Jane Failey who has served on the Auxiliary Board and the National Spiritual Assembly of Canada. With Bahá’í parents from Persian and American backgrounds, she received training from an early age to prepare her for service to the Cause, including intense drill in the art of speaking. Her near legendary facility to enchant an audience is eclipsed, however, by the wisdom born of years spent in service to the Cause of God.

Tim Tyson, Director of the National Teaching Committee’s Media Campaign, who draws upon nearly 20 years experience with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in news media outreach, congressional activities and technology transfer. A journalist by profession with diverse background in news radio, television and newspapers, Tim, with the direction and guidance of the National Spiritual Assembly, has been working to implement the next stage of integration between activities at the national and local levels.

Early fee discount for each registration ($5) and a late fee of $10.

Regular registration cost for

  • Adults (21 plus) is $65,
  • Youth (13-20) is $45, and
  • Children 5-12 is $30! Children under 5 no charge.

Family ceiling (parents and children) of $180 for early registration, $200 for regular registration.

Fees must be postmarked before 20 December for early registration and before 15 January for regular registration. Any registration received and postmarked 15 January or later will require an additional $10 per person.

NOTE: This was rescheduled from the usual fall session due to circumstances beyond the control of the Committee.

The committee hopes to plan for a session to be held in the fall of 2004, as in previous years, on the last weekend in October or the first weekend in November.
