Bahá’í Youth Service Corps

The National Schools and Institutes assist youth to open the door to independence and begin a lifetime of service to humanity within supportive and loving environments. In addition to service duties they are afforded opportunities to deepen their knowledge and love of the Faith and share the whole experience with other youth from around the world. Assistance is needed in a variety of areas including: child/pre-youth teachers and assistants,  food service, maintenance, housekeeping, recreation, administrative support and bookstore/café work.

Where are the National Schools and Institutes:

  • The Native American Bahá’í Institute: Houck, Arizona
  • Louhelen Bahá’í School: Davison, Michigan
  • Green Acre Bahá’í School: Eliot, Maine
  • Bosch Bahá’í School: Santa Cruz, California

Who is qualified for youth service:

Bahá’í Youth in good standing ages 18-25 and/or a high school graduate.

What’s covered and what’s not during a service term:

  1. Youth volunteers are provided room and board in exchange for their service.
  2. Youth from outside the United States are responsible to obtain the documents necessary for entry into the United States, obtain medical insurance to cover their stay, arrange round trip transportation and have sufficient funds to cover their personal needs.

  1. Complete the application below online or email the Word form to byscschools@usbnc.org or send the PDF copy form to the address at the bottom of this page

  2. Provide any institution of the Faith (Local Spiritual Assembly, Auxiliary Board Member,  etc. with the LSA evaluation form below and ask them to email (Word version) to byscschools@usbnc.org or send the (PDF version) to the address at the bottom of this page.
