Ideas from the Committees—Inspiring Devotional Programs

“The Promised One Is Come” Devotional Program from Iowa National Bahá’í School

Amy Lugsch and friends created an opening devotional program entitled “The Promised One Is Come”. Amy is working on getting permissions for copying the music used, and hopes to have a CD of the PowerPoint program made and/or make it available online. Here’s a description:

* The facility had an LCD projector located in the ceiling with a huge screen that came down, so it was almost like a theatre setting. They had two cloth screens on either side of the projector screen — the one on the right had a cross on it and a pedestal with a closed Bible on it; the one on the left had a 9-pointed star and an open copy of the Kitab-i-Aqdas in Arabic on a matching pedestal.

* Throughout the reading of the verses, a light alternately shown behind the cloth screens, referring to the source of the quotes being read. The timing was perfect; the music was intense in just the right places. Many people had tears in their eyes afterwards.
