Unveiling the Special “Bahá’í School Cake”
Each year, attendees at Louisiana Bahá’í School look forward to the unveiling of the special “Bahá’í School Cake” on Saturday evening. Each year, several enthusiastic friends (none of whom are professional chefs) design, bake and decorate a 3-dimensional confectionary delight while the session is going on. Bahá'í School attendees anticipate the moment the special cake is wheeled out of the kitchen and unveiled. This year’s masterpiece, created by Paul Robichaux, Shamsi Monajem and Khandan Simmons, featured two large 9-pointed stars, with an edible (fondant) model of the Chilean Temple on top. This cake kicked off the celebration of the Birth of Bahá’u’lláh, making it feel very festive indeed. For recipe and design tips, contact Paul Robichaux at parob9999@cox.net or Shamsi Monajem at meshamsi@yahoo.com
